Our Churches

Ringwood Benefice is a family of six Church of England Churches, covering the communities of Ringwood, Poulner, Bisterne, Ellingham, Harbridge and St Leonards & St Ives.

St Peter & St Paul Ringwood stands in the centre of Ringwood Market Place. The current church is the third on the site and the current church building plays host to community and civic occasions as well as being a focus for Christian worship in the town. 

St Mary and All Saints, Ellingham a thirteenth-century church whose worship is rooted in the Book of Common Prayer but with services for families too. The churchyard contains the tomb of Alice Lisle, the last woman to be publicly beheaded in England.

St Paul’s, Bisterne Located south of Ringwood and built in the mid-nineteenth century for tenants of the surrounding Bisterne Estate, St Paul’s remains a focal point for the local community.

St John’s, Poulner Built in 1914 as a mission church for what has become the large residential community of Poulner. Today St John’s hosts a variety of family friendly services and activities. 

All Saints, Habridge West of the village of Ibsley, on the west bank of the River Avon stands All Saints Harbridge. The church brings the community of Harbridge together for social events. All service are from the Book of Common Prayer.

All Saints, St Leonards & St Ives Serving the distinct residential communities of St Leonards and St Ives. The church offers a range of worship styles from traditional to contemporary.
